 Overview:

All new systems will not include Microsoft Access as a standard program.
Instead the new systems will use a Database Editing Program (DBEdit.)

How to Install (for existing PC):

1.       Locate the “DBEdit.zip” and copy to local machine

2.       Decompress the file and Run “Setup.exe”

3.       Change Install directory to “C:\DBEdit”

4.       Use all defaults designated by Install Package to complete installation

5.       Delete the Program from the Start Menu “C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs\PrjGenericMDB”

 

How to Run:

1.       Start->Run

2.       “cmd”

3.       “cd \DBEdit”

4.       “PrjMDB.exe”

 

OR

 

1.       Start->Run

2.       “cmd”

3.       “cd\”

4.       “dbedit”    (There is a “dbedit.bat” file on the root directory)

 

How to Use:

1.       Select “Open” using the File Menu or the Open button

2.       Select “Open Database”

3.       Select the database you wish to edit

4.       Select “Open”

5.       Select the Table you wish to Edit in the “Tables\Queries” List Box

6.       Select “Open Table/Query”

7.       Modify the table as desired

8.       Select “Close”

9.       This will save any changes

 NOTE: Do not use “Setup” or “Table Structure” (or any functionality to effect the

structure of the database) functionality, because you might corrupt the database

if it is used incorrectly. This tool is intended to be used for Basic database

troubleshooting and updates, not for database structure modification.
